TRIO BRASILEIRO
The pianist Gilberto Tinetti, violoncelist Watson
Clis and violinist Erich
Lehninger played together for the very first time at the Festival
Internacional de Música de Curitiba, in 1975, and since that occasion have
continuosly developed a musical work of highest level, wich place them among
the most important chamber music ensembles in Brazil and South-America.
Successful performances in the most important Brazilian towns as well as in
the United States, Germany, Portugal and Colombia brought the Trio
Brasileiro to be acclaimed by critics and public.
With an embracing repertoire that includes classic works from composers of the
XVIII century till modern and contemporary music, the trio has recorded in six
different occasions and was awarded by the Associação Paulista de Críticos
de Arte (1983) and with the Carlos Gomes award in 1999 from the
Secretaria de Estado da Cultura (Culture State Department) in São Paulo.
In
2000 the Trio Brasileiro had a concert-tour in France, playing in Paris,
Sévre e Bellegarde.
