Erich Lehninger
Erich Lehninger was born in Germany, where he had his first violin class, at age of five : he played for the first time in public when he was eleven years old. In the same year he became pupil of Helmut Zernick in Colone. In 1968 he became pupil of Max Rostal at the Hochschule fur Musik Koln. In his student years he played as soloist of several orchestras and made many recors of modern music for violin. He was « spalla » der Rheinischen Sinfonie Orchesters, and played in most important cities of Germany, France and Italy. In 1969 he got his Diplom of the Superior School of Music of Colone and in the same year he moved to Brazil where he became solist of the major orchestras. 1971 he went back to Germany, to be « spalla » of the Nordwest Deustche Filarmonie.
1974 Erich Lehninger went to Brazil again, where he founded with
Gilberto Tinetti and Watson Clis the Trio Brasileiro. He has made a complete
tourney trough China playing works of Brazilian composers
for Cello and Piano. He is today one of the most competent and known
Brazilian musicians.
